In late October a group of scouts ventured to Death Valley for a camping and sand boarding trip. During the adventure the scouts got to visit the lowest point in the United States (282 feet below sea level). They also got to walk in the Devil’s Golf Course. It is a unique desert area featuring halite salt crystal formations formed by the minerals of a past lake. The crystals are very sharp so watch your step. If you don’t then you might cut your leg. Near the end of the adventure the scouts got to go sandboarding and explore the big sand dunes.
